CAMP MICHAEL DATES SET FOR 2011 !
The Camp Board is trying something new this year by NOT beginning the first day of camp on a Sunday ! It seems that placing camp in the second week of August was a problem for many families this passed year. So, in order to move it back to the very first week of the month, our negotiations with the camp facility brought us to August 2nd to the 6th for campers, and staff will begin a day earlier. This will mean that campers will arrive on Tuesday and all will end camp on Saturday. Mark your calendars and save the dates!

YOUTH OUTREACH PROJECT FINALLY BEGINS!
Before 2010 ended, I announced that the Youth Group would be coordinating an Outreach Project working with City Gates Ministries, a downtown Olympia outdoor ministry that distributes items of need in every possible category each week to homeless and very needy individuals and families. An average of 100 homeless and very low income, working poor people are served with dignity, respect and compassion.
We are now ready to launch our project and coordinate the accumulation of items that will support this ministry. Each month we will announce a specific group that we will focus on for contributions. The first group we want to provide for are infants and children. We will provide a large box for donations of diapers, typical baby needs, blankets, clothes, etc. Anything you might imagine a mom and baby or small child might need. Please look for our box to appear on January 30th, and please help us fill it!
