The Bishop has selected Peope of the Way: Renewing Episcopal Identity by Dwight Zscheile for this year's Lenten study book. We in the Wednesday Book Discussion Group look forward to reading this book along with the Bishop. Regarding his choice Bishop Rickel writes "From the early pages: 'What might it mean for the Episcopal Church to live into a renewed identity as a people of the Way of Jesus in our time and place? That is the focus of this book.' Let's read it together.

The church is a living organism and therefore growth determines change. Discussions began with comments by a contemporary historian that "nostalgia is the enemy of hope, for nostalgia sees the best days as being the past." Looking at the ongoing and upcoming needs of the church, operationally and spiritually, continues to be central topic of BC discussions.

A report was provided from the 9/29 Leadership Planning meeting. Progress within the different ministries were highlighted and areas needing additional coordination were identified.

The new door locks will be installed on August 20. New keys will be available for all ministry leaders who need to have access to St. Benedict's in order to conduct that ministry's work. New keys are available now! Though the new keys will not work until after August 20, we know many of your would like to pick up your key in advance! To be assigned a new key, you will need to complete the new key form.
