Saint Benedict

Website Tutorial: Benedictions Online

It’s that time again!  Time for the monthly tech article.  Have you been on the website recently?  If you have, then I’m sure you’ve noticed a change with the Benedictions. In our constant strive to make our website more user-friendly and appealing, we have uploaded the Benedictions in a new way!

Before, when you clicked onto the Benedictions tab, you would have to wait for the whole newsletter to load and then scroll through it just as you would flip through the printed version. But, no more! Now, you can click on the month you would like to view (note: only Benedictions from August forward are accessible like this at this time). Then you see all of the different articles that are in the newsletter. You can either click on the title of each article or hit the purple highlighted word(s) after each section to view the article in its entirety.

This works great if you just wanted to read an article like the Consecration. You can just type in Consecration in the search bar and viola! You can pull up just that article!

We understand that trying to download the entire Benedictions can be frustrating and time consuming (especially with a dial up or slower connection). We don’t want to create obstacles or headaches when using the website. Technology is supposed to make our lives easier not harder, darn it! And we know that you are more likely to use and have fun on the site if it’s user friendly. As always, if you have anything that you would like to see on the website or have any questions, please let me know.
