The Hands of Christ in the heart of Lacey
Last month the following true/false test was published in our Benedictions. Since then I have received emails with concerns that the information was incorrect. I apologize for any confusion that my wording and statements might have caused. All of the statements were garnered from a historical narrative given by Gordie Minoza that is on file in the office.
He talks about the beginnings of the church and all of the items the church started with. He also talks about how he died of a stoke in the parking lot and was resuscitated during the walk from the Union Building to the new church. He also proudly exclaims that the land that the church is on was purchased with cash, instead of having to take out a loan, and bought from a parishioner who owned the land.
Looking back at the wording I can see how confusing some of these statements are. Especially since I made Gordie a “she” in the last question. I encourage any and all to take a look at the historical narrative that Gordie gave, it is a good read. I thank you all for your emails and concerns. I’m so glad to know that this monthly publication is read by so many of our parishioners!
