The Olympia Zen Center is hosting two special speakers this coming month. The first is Niho Tetsumei Roshi from Japan. He is a Buddhust Priest and the 29th Abbot of Entsuji Temple. He will be in residence at Royoko-an for three events that are open to the public and free of charge. The dates are as follows:

Thursday, August 30th @ 7:00 p.m.

Saturday, September 1st from 6:15 a.m. to Noon

Saturday, September 1st @ 4:00 p.m.

There will be talks, a retreat, an outdoor blessing and a reception.The second event is a lecture about “Being with Dying”. New Mexico Abbott, Roshi Joan Halifax will be visiting and guest lecturing on:

Friday, September 28th @ 7:00 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church on Olympia’s West Side and on:

Saturday, September 29th from 7:00 a.m.—4:00 p.m. at the Olympia Zen Center.

There is a donation request of $20 for the Friday lecture and a donation request of $75 for the Saturday retreat (includes meals).
