St Benedict Episcopal Church

George came to St. Benedict in November 2005.  Prior to coming to St Benedict, she served as Associate Priest at St. Thomas Medina, Director of Christian Formation at St. Giles Church in Northbrook, Illinois. She attended Seabury Western Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois and before seminary was a youth minister for the Episcopal Church in a variety of parishes and dioceses.

Georgi is particularly passionate about preaching and the liturgical celebration that takes place at our table-altar each and every Sunday. “We invite all people to come stand round God’s table and celebrate the mystery of Christ. The one question that Christians need always ask is who is not here yet? Who can we invite into this amazing wonder we call the Christian faith and life?”

Outside of her ministry as Vicar, George enjoys cooking, walking, reading, and gardening.
